Six magnums of Henri Jayer’s 1996 Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux topped Bonhams’ London sale at £97,600.
Sold just short of their £100,000 high estimate, the wines from the famous Burgundian estate led the way in what was a strong showing of classic Burgundy and claret.
Other highlights from the sale included; a case of 12 1989 Petrus (£39,040), two bottles of Jayer’s 1990 Echézeaux (£10,370), seven bottles of 1986 Petrus (£10,004), a single bottle of Jayer’s 1985 Cros Parantoux (£9,150) and 11 bottles of Château La Mission Haut-Brion 1982 (£7,930).
