Wines by the glass

Sustainably-inclined British restaurant with an eye to keeping food miles low, hence the presence of bottles from Chapel Down, Kent, and Bolney, Sussex. In the venue's own words: 'Responsible sourcing is very important to us, so many of the wines in this list carry an environmental or ethical accreditation.'

Review 2016/17

Sustainably-inclined British restaurant with an eye to keeping food miles low, hence the presence of bottles from Chapel Down, Kent, and Bolney, Sussex. In the venue’s own words: ‘Responsible sourcing is very important to us, so many of the wines in this list carry an environmental or ethical accreditation.’ Dishes, crafted by head chef, Nitin Padwal, formerly of Taj Hotel, Nashik and the Renaissance Marriot, Mumbai, might include starter of rabbit roulade with celeriac purée, garlic spinach, tomato gnocchi and Parmesan foam, followed by a pork trio comprising slow cooked belly, pan-fried neck fillet, and black pudding Scotch egg – the Scotch egg having thought to have been invented opposite at Fortnum & Mason. Culminate with baked Alaska replete with homemade vanilla bean ice cream, vanilla sponge, meringue and an orange sauce.
