A weighty by-the-glass selection and, as you might expect, a trophy listing of Petrus. It begins with a 1928 bottle for £11,600 – a relative bargain with 2005 at £4,900. 1961 is a cool £39,500. By the glass Petrus? Why, of course, courtesy of the Corvin system: 75ml for £295. There’s a good selection of Burgundy in half-bottles (Frédéric Magnien Chambolle-Musigny, Henri Gouges Nuits-St-Georges) and Bordeaux (Château Léoville-Barton and Château Lynch-Bages). A fair few Californian icons (Opus One, Harlan Estate, Joseph Phelps ‘Insignia’) fly the flag for the pricier New World wines.
