Where winemakers dine: Stéphane Derenoncourt

Viticultural consultant and owner of Domaine de l’A, Stéphane Derenoncourt, reveals why he enjoys a trip to Les 110 de Taillevent and why he has relished spending more time in London.

1. Which is your favourite restaurant in London?

Les 110 de Taillevent. They have an enormous wine collection with 110 wines by the glass and an incredible wine list, from Bordeaux First Growths to exciting wines from emerging regions.

2. Where is your favourite wine offering in London?

Berry Bros. & Rudd is synonymous with the London wine industry and has a rich history. I have also been incredibly impressed with Berkmann Wine Cellars both their wines and their passionate team.

3. How does London compare to other big global cities in terms of the wine lists you find there?

The wine lists in London are so varied, and feature wines from all over the world.

I have been fortunate enough to spend more time in London recently as our wines, T-OINOS have been so well received. This is such an honour from one of the most forward-thinking wine cities in the world. The sommeliers in London have outstanding knowledge and are really dynamic. So many of them are dedicated to discovering new wine producing talent and are hungry for knowledge about the industry.
