10 London restaurants to look forward to in 2021
While London restaurants remain shuttered, we’ve rounded up 10 new openings we’re looking forward to this year, from seafood sanctum Manzi’s to the Batman-themed Park Row.

WLC’s resident sybarite, Lucy Shaw, heads to one of the grande dames of the London dining scene, The Ritz Restaurant in Piccadilly, for a five-hour lunch of many acts.

WLC heads to Atul Kochhar’s new restaurant Kanishka, which promised to showcase cuisine from India’s lesser-known regions, and discovers plates of soft shell crab with peanut and mango chutney, steamed sea bass and a ‘cheeky’ peanut butter and salted caramel parfait adorned with gold leaf.

wlc heads to Skylon on London’s Southbank to test-drive its new menu, devised by Finnish-born chef Helena Puolakka, gorging on cured salmon on rye, fresh pappardelle in a smoked tomato sauce with creamy goat’s cheese and a heavenly chocolate tart.

Phoebe French heads to Michelin-starred Alyn Williams at The Westbury for oysters and dill granita paired with Helles lager, and squab pigeon with beetroot ketchup accompanied by milk stout.

WLC’s resident sybarite, Lucy Shaw, heads to the new Sushisamba in Covent Garden for wagyu gyozas, poussin teriyaki, yuzu saké and an edible zen garden.
