Where winemakers dine: Rosemary Cakebread

As part of a new series where top winemakers reveal their favourite dining spots in London, Napa’s Rosemary Cakebread praises Selin Kiazim and Laura Christie’s Kyseri and wine-focused resto Noble Rot for its “breadth, enthusiasm and fair pricing”.

1. Which is your favourite restaurant in London?

London has a plethora of amazing choices. At the moment my favourite is Kyseri for their food and smart wine list.

2. Where is your favourite wine offering in London and what’s your typical go-to first glass when you get there?

Noble Rot for their unique offerings with breadth, sommelier enthusiasm and fair pricing.

3. How does London compare to other big global cities in terms of the wine lists you find there?

London has it all! It excels at offering a range of restaurant styles from seriously formal to open market street food, and I love that you’ll find wine at all of them. Not buried in the cocktail menu and frequently with great glassware – for people who make and appreciate wine, London is a spiritual home.

Last year, Noble Rot was placed 28th in Wine List Confidential’s top 100 restaurants for wine.

Restaurants are graded on a 100-point scale based on five criteria: size, value, service, range and originality.
