The Drinks Trust launches virtual pub quiz

Former publican-turned lockdown saviour Jay Flynn is hosting a virtual pub quiz to raise money for industry charity The Drinks Trust.

The Drinks Trust has been chosen by Flynn, who has hosted weekly quizzes throughout lockdown and raised £700,000 for various causes in the process, has been chosen as his charity partner this month.

Quizzes take place every Thursday and Saturday at 8:15pm BSTon Flynn’s Youtube channel.

Participants are being encouraged to tag The Drinks Trust’s social media accounts in any posts surrounding the event to raise the charity’s profile.

The Drinks Trust, formerly known as The Benevolent, launched an emergency fund in April to support those in the drinks industry left in financial straits as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, and in May partnered with the Champagne Academy on a raft of fundraising initiatives that will extend to 2023.

Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds also pledged to donate 30% of the profits from UK sales of his Aviation Gin to the industry charity.
