Bartenders have revealed the drinks order stereotypes they give you based on what you order at the bar – and some popular choices have been assigned some brutal labels.
While it might not be fair to make assumptions about someone’s general character based on their drinks order, it’s certainly fair to say that bartenders see more of life than most during their shifts. As such, who is better placed to assign stereotypes based on your favourite cocktail?
Well, a Reddit thread has revealed just what your bartender is really thinking. Buckle up for a bumpy ride…
1. Long Island Iced Tea
“Long Island iced teas rarely get tips and are almost always asked to “make it strong.” It’s nearly an entire cup of liquor how tf am I supposed to make it stronger” u/Di5c0_T
2. Pint of bitter
“I’m a middle aged man who is going to stand by the bar silently until my other middle aged man friend comes and then we’re going to sit silently and watch the football and only speak to ask who’s round it is. Always a lovely bloke though.” u/Deleted
3. Appletini
“I’m away from the kids for the weekend” u/mukkalukka22
4. Margarita
“Idk what it is about moms and margaritas, but they go together like pb&j” u/SpartanLegend
5. Gin Rickey
“I just read the Great Gatsby for the first time.” u/Happy_Harry
“[You] actually say “I’ll have the Cabernet Sauvignon” and over-pronounce Sauvignon – One fancy wine please!” u/PromoPimp
“You’re attracted to exotic people and places, but not enough to get a passport.” u/sethra007
8. Bellini
“You have a tab at The Olive Garden.” u/sethra007
9. Jameson

10. Tequila Slammer
