Booking Office 1869 reveals new summer cocktail menu

Booking Office 1869 has revealed its brand new summer cocktail menu and has also opened its mixology lab to the public for the first time.

The new cocktail menu, created by bar manager Jack Porter – formerly of The Mezzanine at The Stratford and Library Bar at The Ned – will introduce a range of new signature drinks.

The cocktails include creations such as the Kola 75, a take on a French 75, which emanates all flavours of Coke, with no actual Coke being used.

The Kola 75 is made using a lime-infused gin, Champagne cordial, Palette (a ginger and clove non-alc spirit) and sparkling cola bitters before being finished with a Falernum foam.

Additionally, the Garland Gimlet is made with Mastiha-infused with floral honey, Château Du Seuil, Suze, elderflower cordial and is garnished with a salted chamomile rim.

Other new serves include the Beekeeper (Glenmorangie The Original, Toasted Almond & Rose Honey and Apricot Liqueur) Porter’s own variation on a Bee’s Knees, as well as the Royal Garibaldi (Cognac Hennessy VS, Belsazar Riesling, Aperol, pineapple and pink pepper shrub and yuzu).

The range of new signature drinks on the cocktail menu, will be served alongside the Booking Office 1869 classics which will remain on the menu, including a House Martini (made using Hepple Gin, dry vermouth, organic beeswax and black olives) as well as the ever-popular Clear Margarita (made with the house blend of Tapatio & Ilegal Joven, citrus and salt).

The Mixology lab, which is in the form of intimate cocktail masterclasses, will take guests on a behind the scenes look at how Porter dehydrates, infuses and fatwashes cocktail ingredients to create new drinks.

The two hour masterclass will be run in the drinks lab that is housed on the roof garden by Booking Office 1869 terrace. Up to six guests will be guided through the processes Porter uses to create his cocktails and then will have the chance to try their hand at mixology themselves.
