New Casamigos rooftop cocktail terrace opens in London’s Chelsea

A new Casamigos Terrace is set to open on the rooftop at Cuban-inspired club Embargo Republica in the heart of London’s Chelsea.

The new drinking hotspot, owned by Eclectic Bars, is part of a refresh of the club venue’s roof terrace in partnership with the Casamigos Tequila and mezcal brand that will showcase a fusion of elegant and contemporary design blended with cool Cuban touches and pops of colour.

Eclectic Bars operations manager Alison Clarke said: “We are very proud and excited to launch the Casamigos terrace at Embargo Republica, a unique collaboration that has brought the perfect Casamigos experience to Chelsea’s much loved venue.”

The Casamigos team added: “Created by long-time friends George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman, Casamigos Tequila is an award-winning small batch ultra-premium tequila and mezcal. Our Tequilas are made from the finest hand-selected 100% Blue Weber agaves, grown in the rich red clay soil and cool climate of the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Made in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, Mexico, Casamigos Mezcal is artisanal and crafted from 100% Espadín agaves. Using all types in the portfolio the mixologists of Embargo have created a fun summer inspired menu and what summer is complete without a frozen margarita? So even if you can’t get away this summer, you can still bring a bit of sunshine to you.”

Guests can expect a range of Tequila and mezcal cocktails, including a selection of signature slushies.

The menu includes: Classic Frozen Margarita – created with Casamigos Reposado Tequila, fresh lime and lemon juice and sugar syrup; Tropical Frozen Margarita – created with Casamigos Blanco Tequila, fresh pineapple and lime juice, Cointreau and passion fruit syrup; Cantaritos Amigos – created with Casamigos Reposado Tequila, fresh pink grapefruit and lime juice, agave nectar and sparkling grapefruit soda; Tommy’s Casa Caliente – created with Casamigos Anejo Tequila, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, strawberry purée, fresh green chilli and basil; The Mexicano – created with Casamigos Joven Mezcal, strawberry Campari, Belsazar Rosé aromatised wine and Fever Tree Blood Orange soda; Repo Spritz – created with Casamigos Reposado Tequila, fresh lemon juice, Belsazar vermouth, prosecco and sugar syrup.

Embargo Republica will also have a range of DJ’s that will take to the stage each week, while the Casamigos Terrace will be open Wednesday – Saturday and is also available for private hire for summertime parties.
